Quick Start
±«Óătv’s Operations Quick Start Certificate Program was designed to ensure that new hires in key operations roles have a carefully crafted learning journey starting before their hire date and continuing through their first six months at ±«Óătv.
This program connects dots for new hires between ±«Óătv standards, expectations and resources, ensures consistency of initial training experience for all new operations hires, and establishes crucial foundations and understanding of how ±«Óătv operates.
We Are ±«Óătv
We Are ±«Óătv is a 3-day immersive learning and acculturation experience and part of the onboarding experience for new ±«Óătv employees. Participants learn more about our core values, history, strategy, and corporate structure, meet with leaders, and network with other Operations and Functional employees across the company.
Operational Excellence Academy
The Operational Excellence Academy (OEA) is ±«Óătv’s six week onboarding program for new employees in Key Operations Roles, including the following:
Assistant Superintendents, Superintendents, Senior Superintendents, General Superintendents, Assistant Project Managers, Project Managers, Senior Project Managers, Project Executives, Project Engineers (non-Career Start), Safety Managers, Digital Delivery, and Project Administrators.
OEA provides participants with role-based context to understand ±«Óătv’s methods of operation. Each cohort of the program supports participants with interactive training, hands-on learning assignments, and review of ±«Óătv’s role-specific resources, taught by ±«Óătv leaders and experts.
Our Career Start program
Career Start is ±«Óătv’s two-year rotational program for recent college graduates who are passionate about the opportunity to grow their career in construction management. Career Start builds the future leaders of the organization, who will redefine what is possible in the industry and change the skylines of our cities.
The program, which accepts an incoming class each July, is made up of a national cohort across each of our regions. Career Starts complete three rotations geared at mastering the fundamentals of estimating, project management, and field operations.

With professional development opportunities and a strong peer cohort, the Career Start program is key to driving ±«Óătv’s future. Here’s what you’ll experience as you move through the program.
Estimating
Learn the fundamentals of preconstruction by reading plans and drawings, selecting trade partners, assembling bids, and engaging with the technology and systems we use to build a project estimate.
Project Management
Work with our team and gain a deep understanding of the project manager’s role within each critical area of project management. Gain experience with budgets and schedules, management of contractual requirements, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and the other building blocks of running a project.
Field Operations
Discover the technical fundamentals of building by working with superintendents at all levels and trade partners to ensure a safe, quality project is delivered on time.
Field Accelerated Superintendent Training
Field Accelerated Superintendent Training (FAST) is designed to upskill field employees’ experience and knowledge to help prepare them to become exceptional builders, faster than the industry standard. This program accelerates their field operations careers by building knowledge and skillsets through mentorship, classroom exercises and field experience. FAST identifies key experience areas that field operations should be able to apply and perform to become an exceptional builder.
Project Executive Academy
The Project Executive Academy (PXA) is an in-person, operational-focused training to build foundational, technical, business and leadership capabilities for Project Executives. Participants will establish a comprehensive, skill-based knowledge of “The ±«Óătv Way” of leading projects across our entire Project Executive group. This program also helps build a project leader community network and invests in project leaders beyond “just in time” training.
Management Excellence Academy
The Management Excellence Academy is an in-person, 2-day program for people managers. The program develops participants’ key management skills in having important discussions with their team members including feedback, coaching and difficult conversations. Participants also develop Emotional Intelligence skills which support all aspects of leadership. This cohort program supports participants with live interactive training, opportunities for self-reflection, and practical tools to support these critical discussions.
Rising Leaders
The Rising Leaders Program is a three-day program that helps high potential employees to grow their leadership skills. The program is for those who are currently leading teams or will be soon. The program includes a Hogan High Potential assessment and covers topics such as effective communication, becoming a leader, delegating tasks, engaging and retaining team members and influencing others.
Executive Leadership Program
The Executive Leadership Program is a year-long program that develops the leadership skills of high potential senior level employees. The program uses Hogan Leadership Forecast and 360 assessments and covers topics such as enterprise mindset, financial acumen, emotional intelligence, and leading the business.
This program requires nomination by leadership and is designed for Project Executive, General Superintendent, and Director and above roles.
Women in Operations Summits
Women in Operations Summits are held on an annual basis in each of ±«Óătv’s regions, providing opportunities for women in operations to learn, grow and connect with other ±«Óătv women and leaders. Each summit includes a panel discussion with female executive leadership, a keynote speech from regional leadership, and small group discussions to allow women the opportunity to share their experiences, identify challenges, garner feedback and identify actionable goals. These facilitated discussions covered the topics of Building Presence, Career Development, Conflict Negotiation, and Effective Communication, among others.
Leading Women Executives
Leading Women Executives (LWE) is a by-nomination program for high potential senior level women who are readying to move into more senior executive positions. Each cohort provides participants with opportunities to gain valuable tools and leadership skills they can apply to ±«Óătv and their careers.
